How long have you been teaching and practicing Pilates?

I’ve been teaching Mat Pilates for about 3 years but I’ve been doing Pilates (Mat & Reformer) since I was 12 years old.

What brought you to pilates?

I have a ballet and dance background so Pilates helped me with extra strengthening, alignment, balance and breath connection to movement. I love the structure of Pilates exercises, and I feel stronger especially in the core and other little muscles post class.

What is one thing you love to share with students?

Pilates isn’t meant to difficult exercises, it’s simple moves combined with elements of challenge to help you move through your day to day life with more body awareness.

What style do you love to teach and why?

I love teaching Mat Pilates because it combines strength with breath and mind connection. It’s not always about the burn to your glute muscles or abs but I aim to find lengthening and new planes of movement to understand the body more.

What is your favourite pose?

I love teaser! It’s challenging but it always a rewarding exercise when you lock in and hold it.

A little bit about yourself:

I have a background in dancing, singing and acting. I still sing on the side doing solo or duet gigs in the local area. So, keep an eye out for my name at pubs, breweries or clubs near you.
